The heart

Today we had an guest speaker named Mary-Ann. She talked to us about the heart and her Currier and what she did when she was growing up when she told us she said that she went to the same school as my teacher Mrs Tapuke. She talked about how the heart works and how you breath she even works as a nurse so she talked on how to get a job to be a mid wife or a doctor or a nurse she talked how the blood goes thru your heart it goes around and around. she went to rangitoto college and went to sonny noke primary that were she met my teacher Mrs Tapuke.

My letter to Nicholas

Dear Room 3,

My name is Nicolas Lei. I hope you are all well and excited to start another new year at Pt. England School. This is my first year at Ferguson Intermediate and I am year 7. I am writing this letter to you all because I know most of you are a similar age as me and I need your help! Someone told me that you are a smart group of students, so I look forward to hearing from you.  

As a new student, I am learning a lot of new routines and rules. I am enjoying my time here, however, there is one thing that I detest and that is our school uniform! At my old school, we wore mufti which was awesome because I got to choose what I wanted to wear everyday. Now that I am at Ferguson, I have to wear the same thing every day like everyone else. It bothers me because I don’t think it’s fair that I have to wear a school uniform. This makes me want to move schools.

I know that you wear a school uniform too, right? How do you feel about that? Do you think all schools should wear uniform? Please tell me why you think schools should or should not wear uniform so I can make a decision on whether to stay here at Ferguson or move back to my old school. Please write back to me soon.

Kalitas at kawau island

Just a week ago the most of the year 6 went to kawau island. We had to show how we respect others. Peter and Erin told us some safety rules. After that Mr Somerville was telling us about the hike we were going to do in 5 minutes. When we got up the hill, everyone was tired and their legs were sore we were moaning and the teachers were cheering for us. When we got down the hill we had to make our beds and get our cabins ready. After that we did our first activity. My group was called Mansion. we first we did kayak we first put our life jackets on and we got our own kayak boats and got in it and we kayaked all the way to where the stingray and the wales were. me and Syriah fell out of our boats and we both crashed into the bushes and fell in it’’ we saw a lot of eels and mr Somerville was telling us that the eels will sting us and we all laughed at him. Our lunch was so good we had sandwiches with beef and ham with tomatoes and crunched cheese. Straight after that we went to our next activity. Our next activity was raft building the girls had to build there own in a team.

Yey it’s the holiday! I went to the Mission Bay movies with my family.I watched jungle book my favourite part was when Ballo tried to get the honey. The next day I went to Hamilton because we needed to drop off my uncle. After that I went to Carl’s jr with my brother. After that I went to the bowling club and we ate chocolate chips and sausages. The last week before school we went to Napier to see my uncle because he was sick. We ate McDonalds. On Sunday we went church and we had a big feed. It was a lovely holiday.

We watched it to the end it was fun that we ate popcorn and drank drinks. The next day We went to the panmure pools because it was my dad's birthday. We took some food it was so fun. We ate chips and banana it was yummy. After all that stuff we did we went to Kmart to get some shoes for school. It was good.

She was going to Australia.She went to Queensland and was walking to her aunt's house. And she was walking were a lot of  people were and did not find her aunt's house.
